Stephanie Tamez is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She learned to
tattoo in San Francisco, working out of a private studio as well as with
Bill and Junii at Diamond Club. She has been based in NYC since 2001,
working at New York Adorned for nine years before coming over to Saved
Tattoo. She became co-owner of Saved in 2012, and is currently also
teaching a design course at SVA.
Before tattooing, Stephanie Tamez worked as a graphic designer and as
a sign painter. Her background shows in many of her tattoos. While
Tamez is well known for brilliant typeface work, she's also superb at
classic traditional and Japanese styles. She tattoos at Saved in
Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
