INKMASTER CHALLENGE
Friday – 5pm: Artists/contestants will enter the competition, no limit on how many can enter, $25 entry fee. Artist will have to tatoo a given design and succed in order to pass to the next flash challenge. If the tattoo is judged poorly they will be eliminated.

Finale – the remaing top 5 contestants will tattoo on stage and compete
for the best of show trophy & a cash prize.

All contest entries must be submitted one Hour prior to judging on the day of that particular contest. If you are entering “Tattoo of the Day,” you can work on the tattoo up until the time of judging. However, you must register it by 6:00 PM. If you’re entering in “Best of Show,” you can register any time before 6:00 PM on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies awarded in all categories except “Best of Show,” And “Best Booth.” There will be one award given for each of these categories.

Tickets are available as a one-day ticket or a weekend pass for all three days.
VIP tickets available which include admission to the VIP Viewing area of the music stage, VIP lounge w/ complimentary signature cocktails & beer (while supplies last to those that are 21+), entry into the music concert, tattoo convention, Low & Slow car show and vendor midway
Additionally there is an extremely limited supply of VIP Meet & Greet packages with Travis Barker available.

This is an ALL AGES show. A child under 7 will be admitted free of charge with an accompanying paid adult ticket. When it comes to your children, take an active role. There MAY be subject matter that you deem inappropriate for your child, you MAY deem the music hall to be too loud for your child as well.
Current California tattooing laws prohibit: (1) anyone tattooing minors (under age 18), (2) any minor from getting tattoo. Sheriff’s Department will be present to enforce this law.
Current California piercing laws allow minors (above age 16) to get body piercing with written parental consent. Sheriff’s Department will be present to enforce this law.

21st Annual Motor City Tattoo Expo
The Motor City Tattoo Expo has always attracted crowds. This year, both young and old tattoo artists, along with Industry vendors, entertainers, clothing and ink devotees will help celebrate our 20+ year legacy of the Motor City Tattoo Expo. The expo is a cross section of the best in the tattoo industry. Traditional, Script, Lettering, Black and Gray, new school and old school artists all tattooing under one roof. With 170 booths and more than 300 artists attending, everyone makes a point to never miss our Detroit event.
The Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center will host the event again this year. Because the Motor City Tattoo Expo continues to grow in popularity and attendance, the expo will again fill the large ballroom for the 2016 event.
The Motor City Tattoo Expo is the perfect opportunity for the curious to learn fist-hand about tattoo art. The tattoo culture will be in full attendance to make new acquaintances and be reconnected with old. The expo will host live entertainment, tattoo seminars, tattoo contests, lots of vendors selling merchandise, and a cash bar.
