Powys Charity Tattoo Convention 2015

Welcome to the 3rd year of Powys Charity Tattoo Convention. This year we have over 30+ award winning artists from around the country, all giving their time to help raise money for this years worthy charities.
The Welsh Air Ambulance
and The Royal British Legion.
This year things are a little different with acoustic bands and artists playing at the convention, as well as other acts and entertainment.

Jason’s Death Romantic style is often imitated but his signature is unmistakeable in his pieces, not least because he is both artistically and technically accomplished. These pieces are remarkable for being ultimately paradoxical. At the same time they are ephemeral yet solid, spiritual yet prosaic. Portraying death through the lively animation of youthful life, they manage to be surreal as well as realistic. The longer one looks at them the depth of the artists thinking becomes apparent. He inverts the natural order of things by making the bones of the skull prior to the features, skin and muscle which it subsumes.

Tattoo Convention Middelkerke 2015

This convention is a benefit for Remy Dejaegher (can be found on Youtube, vtm nieuws 2011). Remy will soon be getting 3years old and is waiting on a kidney transplant since the day he was born. There are only 3 people so far who have survived this illness. Remy only had a 10% survival chanse to make it through his first year. He doesn’t eat, he can’t talk and he can’t walk. Because of his condition Remy has never played with other kids, his parents had to sell their family business because they couldn’t afford to buy his special probe-food. His mother has to stay home to give him his medicine cocktails and change his probe 4 times a day. Remy has to get weekly check-ups in the universitairy hospitals and dialysis at home isn’t possible anymore. The average waiting time for a kidney transplant is 1 to 6 years..
